Walt Disney World Day 1 & 2

We were actually in the air before the sun came up on Saturday morning!
Everything went well with the flight. The kids were excited to be flying again!

This was the first picture I took in Disney World.
We arrived at our resort late in the afternoon. We had not eaten, and it was pouring down rain, so we decided to get a bite to eat. We felt much better and ready to explore!
We did not want to use our park passes on just a few hours in the park, so we headed down to Downtown Disney. This picture was taken at Lego Land, these people are made of Legos!
We did not get into The Magic Kingdom until Sunday morning. The girls and I couldn't wait to see the castle!!! This was our first peek!!!

As we entered the park, we headed for Fantasy land... and Alice and the Madhatter were waiting for us there!!! The girls got to ride the tea cups with Alice!! What a way to start our vacation! They were very excited, and when I asked them later that night what their favorite part of the day was, this was Kait's!

We had brunch with some Playhouse Disney friends at MGM.
Drew was excited to see some of his friends from TV!
We participated in a Pep Rally for the High School Musical.
This was a street show and it was really fun! The girls loved it!
We had a really great day hopping between MGM and The Magic Kingdom! It was such a busy day I din't even remember what all we did. The kids have enjoyed getting autographs from all of the charactures. This one was actually taken at 1am as we were leaving the park!!
Can you believe it!? 1:00 in the morning!!! Our day started at 6:30am! It was a long day, but boy did we have fun!

That's not to say that the kids weren't tired! Check out these shots of Khloe and Drew waiting for the fireworks at 10pm. Khloe is laying on my leg in the middle of Main Street and Drew was sitting up!!

Here are some great shots that I got of the castle durring the "Wishes" firework presentation...

Happy 6th birthday Drew!

I can't believe my BABY is 6!!!!!!!!!!
Happy Birthday to Drew!
Oh my how time flies!
Opening presents.

Lots of friends were here. Colton and Carson from church, Noel, Katie and Justin from the sitters, neighbor Tyler, cousin Gracie, Grandma Jaeda, Grandma & Grandpa Penny, Great Grandma McCoy, Uncle Andy, Uncle Chris & Leslie and Papa Dixon.

For the theame of his party, Drew wanted a Six Flags slide and swimming party!
The slide has gotten lots of use this summer!

Drew wanted golf clubs for his birthday. He has played with Rich's, I guess that is where he came up with the idea. This is not his club, but it is Drew playing his new favorite sport...Golf! We took him to the driving range and he bought his clubs there. Then we bought a bucket of balls and we all hit some. It was fun!

Bad blogger

I have been such a bad blogger! So much has happened in recent months, so much to catch up on... let's see... Khloe's 8th birthday, my 30th birthday, Kait's 10th birthday, Drew's 6th birthday, our Recommitment ceremony, vacation and back to school. Stay tuned for updates while I locate pictures!

I guess I'll work my way backwards. I haven't downloaded 1st day of school pics yet, so let's start with vacation.

Our final destination was Branson. We left Monday and stopped in St. Louis for a Cardnials game. I forgot my camera that night!
Then we went to the Merrimac State Park for some camping activities.
We went on a 5 mile float down the Merrimac River. That was so fun!
The water and the surroundings were beautiful!!

This was on a nature hike. There were caves that you could stop at along the way, but the kids would not go in!

Roasting S'Mores in your bathing suit! You don't see that everyday!

This was our campsite. It was hot, but we survived. I was proud of myself for making it through my first campout that wasn't in my backyard. It was a lot of fun!

We met my parents, two of my brothers and Tim's girlfriend Amy in Branson. We stayed at the same condo complex. It was really nice traveling with them. I think we all had a great time!
This is everyone at dinner.

Everyone waving from the boat.
My parents rented a pontoon and we rented a speed boat and
then were able to share the boats all day.
Those that wanted to take it easy hung out on the pontoon while the boys tore up the lake!!

I will start working on the Recommitment Ceremony. Stay tuned!
