Congratulations!

Cali and Kaitlyn-BFF!
Congratulations are in order for Kaitlyn, Cali and Emily! They have made the 2008-2009 Jr. High Cheerleading Squad! We were so excited! They had a weekend workshop followed by two weeks of practice for try-outs. There were 18 girls from 6th, 7th & 8th grade trying out for 10 positions. Kait, Cali and Emily were the three 6th graders to make it! They had to create and choreography their own individual cheer, learn and perform a group cheer, execute two jumps and the splits and perform two sideline cheers. It was a very exciting two weeks with much anticipation for the final result. We are so proud of Kaitlyn and all of the hard work that she put into those two weeks of try-outs and practice!

Granny Turns 90!!

Happy 90th Birthday Granny!!!!
We attended the 90th birthday of Zoa Preston on April 12th.
There were over 100 family and friends that came from near and far to celebrate!

Granny gives the kids $2.00 every time we stop by to visit.

They check her mail and take out her garbage and they love getting their $2.00!

Rich loves his Granny so much! We all do!

She has many wonderful stories to share.

Happy Birthday Granny!

Young Author

Each year our school participates in the Young Author competition. This year Khloe won for best story in her class. Her book was so super cute. It was called “The Panther That Ate My Uncle.” It was a story about her Uncle Andy being the school’s mascot. Congratulations Khloe! Drew wrote “Webkins” and Kaitlyn wrote “The Adventures of Prince Floyd and Princess Fibi.”

Khloe is 9!

Where oh where does time go?? I can't believe that my baby girl is 9!
We did much celebrating!
This is the birthday cake that Khloe picked for her "family" birthday party.
Mom made white cake with chocolate frosting.

This was her actual birthdate. We went out to eat and brought home an ice cream cake from Culvers. She went to Toys R Us to spend some birthday money and got a birthday crown. She is being silly with the balloons that she got at school from Grandma Jaeda after opening presents from mom and dad.
She took some friends to Justice for a "Rock Star" birthday.

I think all of the girls had a great time!

They had their hair done and a mini makeover with make-up.

This is the finished product! Doesn't she look great!!

The walked the runway.
Had a dance party!

The best birthday ever!
Then we stopped at Culvers for more cake (made by Nancy)!
Khloe is an amazing little girl. She is always talking about "when she grows up and is a Mommy." She is cuddler and loves one on one time. She and Drew have a very close brother/sister relationship. She loves to garden and is looking forward to planting some flowers soon. She can be very quiet around people she does not know, but the loudest one in the house at home! She is very smart and does very well in school. She is currently growing her hair out to donate to Locks of Love. She warms my heart, and we all love her so very very much!

Easter 2008

We had a wonderful Easter celebrating the empty cross.
Mark 16:6
6"Don't be alarmed," he said. "You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.

Me and my brother Chris at Mom's.

The kids are getting so big! Khloe did not want a dress with flowers or frills this year. As you can see I talked her into it, but I fear this may be my last year of frilly dresses!

Enjoying the 1lb chocolate bunny that the Easter Bunny brought.
